I have been crafting since I was a little girl. Over the years I have done crafts of all sorts including knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, needlework, beading, decoupage, stenciling, braiding and hooking rugs, and quilting.
I first started quilting in the late 1970’s with my mother-in-law Leota Howell of Bluford, Illinois. I made a few quilts for my family in the 1980’s, but in the mid-l990’s the quilting fever really took hold. I have made numerous quilts for my family and as gifts. I work with charitable groups making baby quilts and full size quilts to be given to people in need.
Several years ago I was fortunate enough to buy a slightly used Gammill long arm quilting machine from a member of a quilting guild I belonged to. Since then, I have quilted hundreds of quilts of all sizes for charities and area customers.
